Warnings is a feature in Media list to help keep your media list up to date and clean.
If our system detects a contact in your list that has some problem and needs attention, the contact will appear in the “Warnings” tab on the same list. The list of problems that our system can detect is growing, but at the first stage, these problems can be identified:
- The contact is removed from Anewstip database. There are many reasons that a contact may be removed from our database, for example, the contact is no longer a journalist, the outlet stopped publishing, the contact requested removal, etc.
- The contact unsubscribed from your pitches.
- There is no email address for the contact.
- Pitches to the contact bounced.
In the Warnings tab, you can view the specific warning message for each contact. You can decide what to do based on the warning message, delete it from your list or ignore it and keep it as is.
By default email pitches to contacts with a warning message are disallowed. If you send a pitch to list containing contacts with a warning message, only the contacts without a warning message would receive your pitch. You can change the setting by clicking the Change button in the Email option. The setting will apply to all contacts with a warning message in all media lists in your account.
